Truman L. Thacker, III

Listen to Obituary

Truman (T.L.) Thacker III, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on February 8, 2026. He was born August 7, 1964, in Little Rock to Truman (Jr.) and Guyla Thacker.

T.L. was a skilled machinist by trade, known for his precision, strong work ethic, and pride in doing things the right way. He had a remarkable ability to fix just about anything, and if a problem was beyond his reach, he would make sure it found its way to someone who could fix it. Later in life, he pursued higher education and earned his degree, allowing him to share his knowledge as a vocational instructor at Pulaski Technical College. Teaching was a natural extension of who he was...patient, generous with his time, and genuinely invested in helping others succeed.

Those who knew T.L. will remember his big heart and quiet kindness. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation and without expecting anything in return. He lived his faith through action, not words, and was a lifelong member of Life Line Baptist Church. T.L. could often be found lending a helping hand with maintenance and repairs around the church, always giving his time and talents freely and never accepting payment.

T.L. is survived by his uncle, Tony (Vonnie) McSpadden; his cousin, David (Penny) McSpadden; and their daughter, Lyndall. He also leaves behind his adopted family of Clifton and Emma Galyean, as well as his girlfriend of 6 years, Donna Harvey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman (Jr.) and Guyla Thacker, and his uncle, Mike McSpadden.

T.L. will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
