V. K. Prince age 82 of Bismarck died Sunday, November 4, 2012. He was born September 7, 1930 the son of William Oather and Marie Hancock Prince. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He and his father owned and operated Prince Butane Co. in Bismarck for a number of years, was employed by Ouachita Marine, and retired from Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in 2002. He was preceded in death by his father and his wife Irene Prince.
Survivors include four sons, Mike (Darlene) Godwin and Eddie (Geneva) Godwin all of Bismarck, Todd (Marcie) Prince of Caney, Mike (Shannon) Prince of Arkadelphia, four daughters, Linda Donahou of Hot Springs, Deborah Hathcoat and Shirley (Roger) Melton all of Bismarck and Lisa (Billy) Garrett of Caddo Valley, his mother, Marie Prince of Bismarck, one sister, Betty Whitley of Bismarck, 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, November 7th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Bro. Chris Morrison and Bro. Van Glidewell officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Bower Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
