Vandell "Van" James Bell, Jr., 64, of North Little Rock, passed away May 20, 2011. He was born August 27, 1946 to Vandell J. and Freda Steenburgen Bell in Newport, AR.
He was predeceased by his father, Vandell J. Bell, SR. He is survived by his mother, Freda Bell Nichols and stepfather, T. H. Nichols; three sisters, Amy Schaefer, Becky (Bob) Anderson and Teresa (Mark) Kenyon; 4 nephews, Brad Schaefer, Rob (Stephanie) Anderson, Ben (Thea) Bullock, Brian (Audrey) Bullock; two nieces Kristin (Monty) McClain, Elizabeth Kenyon; cousins Leonard (Merle) Dyke, Diana (Dane) Velanders, Dr. Wallace (Susan) Dyke, Dione Dyke, Ashley Steenburgen, Sherri Steenburgen, with a special thank you to cousins, Nancy Steenburgen and Mary (Ted Danson) Steenburgen.
A visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m.Tuesday, at the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main St., 758-1170, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 P.M.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 217 West 2nd Street, Little Rock, AR 72201 or to your favorite charity.
