Velva Carter Finley age 83 of Arkadelphia died Friday, October 16, 2015. She was born February 4, 1932 in Arkadelphia the daughter of Leo and Otera Spradlin Carter. She was a retired nurse, member of the Jaycetts, Beta Sigma Phi, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Pine Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Truman Finley.
Survivors include three sons, Bob (Susie) Shehane, Randy Shehane, and Greg (Dee Dee) Shehane; one daughter, Brenda (Skip) Bowline and one brother, Buddy (Shirley) Carter; thirteen grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday, October 20th in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia with Dr. Jim Buie officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon, Andy, and John David Bowline and Cody, Justin and Randal Shehane.
