Vernice Rachel Johnson 81 Arkadelphia passed away November 14, 2019. Vernice was born in Denison, TX on February 13, 1938 tot eh late Arthur Lee & Graccie M. (Jones) Nicholas.

Vernice is preceded in death by her husband Bob Johnson and one brother Terry Nicholas. She is survived by her sons; Bob Johnson of Allen TX, David Johnson& wife Paige of Denton, TX, Bill Johnson & wife Roxanne of Lincoln, NE, John-Cavnar Johnson of Houston, TX and Jim Johnson & wife Barbara of Fort Worth, TX; daughters Lynda Daily & husband Doug Rawn of Little Rock, AR and Elizabeth Messmer & husband Trent of Hutchinson, KS. Twenty-seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; four sisters Ellen Burger of Denison, TX, Sherry Watson of Sherman, TX, Virgie Arnold & husband Norman of Denison, TX and Judy McFadden & husband Calvin of Sherman, TX,; four brothers Arthur Nicolas & wife Beverly of Wichita Falls, TX, Pete Nicholas & wife Mary of Hendrix, OK, Jerry Nicholas & wife Wanda of Denison, TX, and Michael Nicholas of Denison, TX.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2019 at Second Baptist Church until the Funeral Services begin at 2:00 p.m. Brother Matt Parker officiating with interment to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
