Vernon “J.D.” Brothers, Jr., 69, of Benton, Arkansas, peacefully passed away July 18, 2024. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on April 6th, 1955, he was known as a simple man, who enjoyed the simple things in life.
J.D. led a fulfilling career working for various companies, following his true calling in the field of electrical work. His journey began at Vo-Tech after graduating high school, where he pursued further education and obtained his master's degree to become a highly skilled electrician.
In his leisure time, J.D. found solace in the great outdoors as an avid hunter and fisher. His favorite retreat was deer camp, where he would often be found bonding with friends who were more like family to him. J.D.'s simple yet fulfilling life was a testament to his preference for a quiet existence, characterized by his dry sense of humor and deep love for those closest to him.
J.D.'s departure leaves a void in the hearts of his surviving loved ones. His children: Jay Brothers (Sarah), Jerad Brothers (Lauren); grandchildren Molly Sutton, Mabry Brothers, Jace Brothers, Witt Brothers, Everly Brothers, and Case Brothers; as well as his sister Joyce Brothers.
In the eternal embrace of peace, J.D. joins his father Vernon J.D. Brothers Sr., mother, Mary Ellen Brothers, and granddaughter Kathryn Brothers.
The family would also like to extend a heartfelt and special thank you to Shelia Gilbert, Joe and Terra Gilbert, Elbert Ramsey and Beverly Lewis, for providing amazing care to J.D. during his illness. The family would not have been able to make it through these times without your selfless and compassionate care.
