Vernon Odell Deviney age 77 of Bismarck died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in Hot Springs. He was born June 7, 1931 in Haskell, OK the son of William George and Arlie Wood Deviney. He was a retired electrician with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. After his retirement he worked as custodian at Bismarck High School and was general "Community Handyman", his neighbors remarked he was handy as pockets on a shirt. Mr. Deviney was a United States Air Force Veteran and of Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Mae Fry Deviney.
Survivors include one daughter, Vernie Deviney of Bismarck, one brother Kenneth Deviney and his wife Rita of Sallisaw, OK and a half brother Ronnie Deviney of Ft. Worth, TX.
