Vernon Joe Osborn

Vernon Joe Osborn, age 74, of Amity, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. He was born on July 8, 1941 at Blevins, the son of Fred Osborn and Lona Bell Triplett Osborn. On July 6, 1961, he was married to Joyce Holcombe. A United States Navy veteran, he was a retired master printer and truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Osborn of Amity; two daughters and sons-in-law, Natalie and Joe Cagle of Shreveport, Louisiana and Dana and Perry Lambert of Amity; and five grandchildren, Denver Austin, William Cagle, Chris Cagle, Anthony Terry and Brandi Terry. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. John McAnally officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 1:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Cagle, Perry Lambert, Anthony Holcombe, Cody Holcombe, Gary Johnston and Ronnie Johnston. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
