Vicki Lynn Furr

Vicki Lynn Furr, age 59, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024. She was the wife of Danny Furr. They shared 39 years together. 

Vicki was born in Biloxi, Mississippi to Julius and Altha Ammons. She served in the United States Air Force for six years and then graduated with a BSN in Nursing from Hopkinsville Community College in Kentucky. She worked as an operating room nurse for many years. 

Vicki was a member of Buffalo Lick Baptist Church in Cadiz, Kentucky. She loved her family and especially loved being a “Grammy”. She was a foodie! She enjoyed cooking shows and trying out recipes with her daughter, Taylor. Vicki loved watching her two girls play softball. She was a great puppy mom. She loved her 19 year old puppy, Charley and his brother, Harley. Knowing how God made Vicki, she could be sassy, sarcastic, and plain spoken. Yet she cared for and loved her family beyond question. 

She is survived by her husband, Danny Furr; children, Samantha [Ben] Koenig and Taylor Furr; grandchildren: Markus, Ryleigh, Conor, and William; brother, JR [Susan] Ammons and their children, Jackson and Julia. She was predeceased by her parents, Julius and Altha Ammons. 

The visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 910 W. Hazel St. Benton, AR with funeral service following at 2:00 PM. The interment will be at the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, 25 Mt. Harmony Dr. Haskell, AR.
