Vicki Martin

Vicki Linette Martin, age 59, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on November 4th, 2021 at 10:20pm after a living an abundant life with her family and a short but brave battle of brain cancer.

Vicki was born on June 25, 1962 to Doyle and Louise Moore in Hot Springs, Arkansas. After Vicki graduated High School in 1981, she married the late Gary Martin and they began their

family in Bryant. Gary lost his battle to cancer at 40 years of age in May of 2002.

Vicki leaves behind her children Amy Martin of Benton; son, Aaron Martin, wife Melanie and their 3 children, Kynlee, Easton and Lillian, of Alexander; her parents, Doyle and Louise Moore

of Benton; her brother Reverend Brian Moore, wife Elizabeth, and their children, Layton, Mattie, Cade, Rylie Jo, Callie and Isabell, of Benton; and a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, friends and church family.

Vicki was employed at Bryant High school and considered them her second family. She was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church in Benton where she taught preschool Sunday

School for years and was better known as Mrs. “Bicki”.Vicki loved her family fiercely and considered it an honor to serve them. She never missed a

game, never missed a family gathering, and never missed a church service until it is was impossible to get her there. She was the Gigi to Kynlee, Easton and Lillian that everyone dreams

of having for their own children. They were the absolute joy of her life. She was the Aunt Vicki to her nieces and nephews that raises the bar to a whole new level of “Aunt Life”. She was Mrs. Martin to a host of students that she loved as her own. She was a friend to many and enjoyed antique shops and road trips with them. She was a coupon clipper and distributor. She never paid full price for any fast food meal and if you were with her—neither did you. She could feed 25 people with 1 pound of taco meat, and there was always room for one more at her dinner table.

Most importantly, Vicki will be remembered for her faithfulness to her Father, her Creator and Sustainer of life. As a teenager attending Geyer Springs First Baptist, on March 11th, 1976, Vicki gave her life to Jesus and He became top priority. She had the gift of discernment and the ability to see a person though the lens of the Gospel. Vicki’s love for prayer was passed down from both her parents. Prayer changes things, and when Vicki Martin went to praying, you could bet, things would change.

Vicki was simply a gift to those who knew her. To know her was to love her. As her family, we will hold fast to the memories and know that one day, coming very soon, we will be with her

again.
