Vic was the son of Gordon and Laurel Buergey. He attended Central High School in Little Rock during the integration crisis. He served in the United States Navy. He had a long career with the City of North Little Rock.
He enjoyed all things outdoors including, hunting, fishing and camping he loved gardening and took pleasure in watching things grow. He also enjoyed spending with family and friends, and was always good for a laugh.
He is survived by two daughters; Melanie Buergey and Tina Jergens, one son; Christopher Buergey, step-daughter; Kelly Atlas, granddaughter; Haley Jergens, grandson; Cayden Canfield, two sisters; Carol Mann and Weesa Boyd and husband Eddy and several nieces and nephews.
Vic was a generally happy soul that was always cracking jokes, some of which were inappropriate, whistling and humming songs, dancing around and putting a smile on your face. He was a very giving person, always donating to various charities and willing to give someone a chance. He was always willing to lend a hand when needed or offer advice when he could. He always looked for the good in people, regardless of their background or shortfalls. It was a joy to call him a friend and an honor to call him my father. You will always be loved and missed, but we know that you will be here with us.
