Virgie DuVall, 104, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away June 11, 2025. She was born on May 8, 1921, in Detonti, Arkansas, to Richard “R.T.” and Angie (Tull) Carter.

Virgie was a proud graduate of Poyen High School, and in her professional life, she served several businesses in the community as a bookkeeper. She loved to cook and was very good at it, but one of the things she was most proud of was her lifelong membership to Antioch Christian Church in Tull.

Preceding Virgie in death are her husband, Joe E. Duvall, Sr.; son, Joe (Joey) E. Duvall, Jr.; daughter, Deborah DuVall Smith; grandson, Jeffrey Allan DuVall; her parents; as well as a brother and a nephew.

Virgie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marian Udey DuVall, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who love and will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 21, at Ebenezer Cemetery in Tull, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to the Bauxite Historical Association Museum (BHAM), P.O. Box 245, Bauxite, AR 72011, or to the Tull Cemetery Association, 11101 Hwy 190, Benton, AR 72015.
