Virginia Hughes

Virginia Elaine Hughes, age 70, of Hot Springs, passed from this life on Thursday, April 21, 2022

She was born on June 8, 1951, in Jonesboro, Louisiana, the daughter of Billy Murray Hughes and Mildred Elaine Walker Hughes. 

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Madlyn Rachel Malcomb; and one sister-in-law Brenda Hughes.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Hughes of Tacoma, Washington; one granddaughter, Jesa Hughes; two great-grandchildren, Jackie “Jaxx” and Jayse all of Oregon; one sister, Linda “Lynn” Norman of Royal; two brothers and one sister-in-law Gene Patrick Hughes of Minden, Louisiana and Billy M Hughes Jr. and wife Janie, of Dothan, Alabama; extended family members and a host of friends.

Virginia worked for the telephone company for many years. She was an artist and loved to macrame and do all types of arts and crafts. Reading was her favorite pastime. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.
