Vivian Pauline "Polly" Duke Brown, 82, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord and her "Sweetie" Thursday March 7, 2013. She was born in Detroit, Michigan but lived most of her life in Beebe. Her parents were Terry F. Duke and Vivian Taylor Duke Fitch. Polly worked for Sears in Searcy for a number of years. Her favorite pastime was bowling with her team in Searcy. She was a long-time faithful member of First Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School Secretary and participated in many committees.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas Crow Brown, sisters, Lola B. Armstrong & husband Harry and Melba Vandament & husband Dale.
Polly is survived by one son, Terry Brown of Beebe; two daughters, Linda Brown and Mona Vaden and husband Thomas, all of Beebe; five grandchildren, Robby Brown, Jennifer Hillman and husband Keith, Shawne Vaden and wife Alisha, Spring Rodgers, Sheana Toney and husband Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Jacob Brown, Megan Williams, Molly Rhodes, Hunter Vaden, Brooklyn Hope Vaden, Chloe Rodgers, Zoe Rodgers, Scout Rodgers, Emma Toney, Jackson Crow Toney, Shepherd Raines Toney, Kristen Laxamana and Payton Ham, Jacob Hillman and Lexie Hillman; also our very special cousin and Mother's caregiver, Diann Watson; and her sweet and faithful companion, Buttons. Also very special thanks to Shannon Wilson who took great care of Mother.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, #1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Beebe First Baptist Church. Funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Beebe Cemetery. Arrangements by Westbrook, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
