W.H. (Dub) Bostic, of Thayer, MO, was born the son of the late A.C. and Maybelle (Carter) Bostic in White County, Rose Bud, AR on June 16, 1929. He passed away at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO, on August 8, 2018, at the age of 89.
Dub was united in marriage to Maxine M. Johnson on 1948 and were blessed to be together for 45 years. They had 2 children, David and Nelda. On November 20, 2002, Dub married Ina Smith Bennett.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Bostic of Thayer, MO; son David Bostic and wife Pat of Greenbrier, AR; and daughter Nelda Beavers and husband Bobby of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by 2 step-daughters Ladonna Sandridge of Thayer, MO, and Paula White and husband Charlie of Stockton, MO. Also surviving is one grandson, 3 granddaughters, 4 great grandsons, and 4 great granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maxine, and brother Delbert Bostic.
Dub was a Free Will Baptist minister for over 50 years, pastoring churches in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. He was also involved in Southern Gospel singing.
He loved preaching, fishing, the St. Louis Cardinals, Arkansas Razorbacks, and visiting with his friends and loved ones.
Dub will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Services for W.H. Bostic will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home in Conway. Burial will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas.
