Walter Joe Sardin, 84, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013. He was retired from the railroad with over 42 years of service, a member of the Eagles Club, American Legion, 40/8 Club, the Republican Inner Circle, the Presidential Task Force and a member of Chenal Valley Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wilma E. Sardin; daughter, Elizabeth A. Hicks (Chuck); son, Bill Sardin (Paula); brother, W.A. "Dub" Sardin; sister, Grace Rush; five grandchildren, Megan Ashey Vocque, William James Sardin, Jr., Natalie Lane Russell, Amy Mischea McVay and Rachael Allison Sardin; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sardin and Mary Agnes Chivers Holston; daughter, Jo Ellen Sardin and sister, Gwendolyn Utley.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m., at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
