Wanda B. Lester, 83, of Ferndale, passed away at home on Sunday, April 7, 2013. She was born on November 15, 1929 in Indiana to the late Archie and Gladys Smith. She was of the Protestant faith.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Vern D. Lester Jr.; daughters, Gloria (Ted) of Perryville, Twila (Darren) of Indiana and Laura (Randy) of Ferndale; son, Harry Jr. (Debbie) of Petit Jean; grandchildren, Becky (Mike), Georganna (Rick), Jenny (Don), Mindi, Sarah, Robby, Jerry, Scotty, Brandon, Ryan, Joseph and Jeremiah; eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Larry (Margaret) and David; sister-in-law, Judy (Billy); brother, Larry (Rose) of Indiana; and sister, Norma of Michigan. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard and a brother, Louie.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Baptist Health Hospice caregivers, RN DeeDee, CNA Amanda and April Lane.
