Warren Rivers

Warren L. Rivers, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, departed this life to be with his Lord on November 9, 2017. He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Judy Rivers; two daughters, Stacy Echols (Ricky) of Hot Springs and Sheri Rivers of Little Rock; and two grandchildren, Kyle Echols and Cherie Echols Yates (Adam). He was preceded in death by his parents, C.J. Rivers and Mary Margret Schofner Rivers, four sisters, three brothers, and several nieces and nephews

At age 18, Warren began his 29 year career with Campbell Taggert at Rainbow Bakery in Tucson, Arizona as a pan washer. Seventeen years, five transfers, five cities and promotions later, he became Vice President and Manager of Merico Bakery in Little Rock. In 1981, he was transferred to California and became President of Larry's Foods. He left Campbell Taggert in 1984 and then worked for other baking companies in Columbus, Ohio and Albuquerque, New Mexico, ending his career with Ort's Inc. in Maryland.

Following retirement, he kept busy at his church, Grace Lutheran, helping in various capacities. Those were his happiest times. He will be missed by family and friends until we join him in Heaven. Thanks be to God.

Services will be Saturday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, preceded by visitation beginning at 10:00.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church, 5124 Hillcrest, Little Rock, AR, 72205.
