Listen to Obituary

Wayne Edwin Marsh, 89, of Maumelle, AR went to be with Jesus on November 17, 2023. He was born on 12/23/33 in Lonoke, AR.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jeannie Marsh: 3 sons, Grant Marsh (Joan), Greg Marsh (Missy) & Jason Marsh (Melissa) grandsons Colby Speer & Jeremy Masters, sister Doris Chandler (Buddy), sister-in-law Joan Crites (JM) & many extended family members.  He was predeceased by his parents, son Mike Masters & brother, John Zimmerman.

He loved & adored Jeannie, his sweet girl.  He told everyone he was the boss’s husband. They raised their sons with a strong work ethic & a love for God.  He was very proud of his boys.  His face would light up when one of his sons walked in the room.

Wayne served our country in the Korean War as an Army Paratrooper with the 187th RCT Rakkasans.  He owned Wayne Marsh Maytag Home Appliance Center for many years.  He loved serving his customers, worked many long hours & was always eager to complete all service appointments that same day.

Wayne was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock & will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers & support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the GSFBC Global Missions Fund at PO Box 31510, LR 72260.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, November 30, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court. Burial with military honors will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grant Marsh, Greg Marsh, Jason Marsh, Jeremy Masters, Sam Martin & Rick Gardner.
