Wendell Shock

Wendell Oren Shock, 77, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He was born August 24, 1934 in Benton, Missouri to George "Bud" and Leona Hill Shock. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, a Mason and owner of Shock Antenna. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Allean Freeman Shock, of Sherwood; "adoptive" daughter, Cheryl L. Simmons (Stewart), of Hazen and her children, Holly M., Jennifer N., and Christopher W. Roberson, all of Sherwood; several nieces; nephews; "adoptive great-grandchildren"; close friends and his beloved dogs, Zoyee and Vegas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, George C. Shock.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 3:00 p.m., at Marcus Hill Cemetery in Enola, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
