William "Bill" Henry Welch

 

William “Bill” Henry Welch, age 77, of Glenwood, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

He was born on March 30, 1945, in Middletown, New York, the son of Henry Frederick Welch and Phyllis Marie Halcott Welch. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandnephew, Taylor Pate.

He attended the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene, where he loved his church family. Bill always enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center, playing games and visiting with everyone. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, who he dearly loved with all his heart.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert “Bob” and Mary Ann Welch of Traverse City, Michigan; his sister and brother-in-law, Susan “Sue” and Jerry Pate of Glenwood; one niece; six nephews; sixteen grandnieces; three grandnephews; three great-grandnieces; two great-grandnephews; three cousins; his very special friend, Hardy Reynolds of Russellville; numerous extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.

Memorials services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Gerald Palmer officiating.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the memorial service at the church.

Interment will follow the memorial services in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home-Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Matthew Hulsey and his nurses and entire staff.
