William Brown

We have lost a beloved man, William J. Brown, who was a friend to many and loved by his wife, Linda, of 40 years, his two feline children, Kali and Lovey and his human extended family.

Bill was born on September 2, 1938, to Horace and Helena Brown of Wellington, Ohio.  They were a family of six children who are all deceased.

At seven years old he was fostered by Bill and Rose Baumgardner in Tionesta, Pennsylvania.  He flourished and loved his life there.  He was very athletic and popular.  In 1958 he joined the United States Army and was discharged in 1963.  He then returned to Tionesta till he moved to California in 1966.  He became very successful in sales for over 40 years.  Bill and his wife, Linda, lived in Huntington Beach, California, for many years until retirement when they moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas in 2009.

Bill was an avid golfer, belonging to the Mile Square Golf Course in Fountain Valley, California for many years.  He was also an accomplished singer and guitarist.  He was a 50-year member of the Olive Temple Lodge No. 557 of Tionesta, Pennsylvania.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Boys Club of America in memory of Bill.
