William "Pete" Dean, Jr.

William Allen “Pete” Dean, Jr., died on April 7, 2024 at his home of complication from diabetes and heart disease.  He was born January 29, 1944 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late William Allen and Nell Mitchell Dean.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy May Dean; a daughter, Dr. Brandy Dean (Knox) Bordelon of North Little Rock; a son, Nick (Lynda) Dean of Bryant, Arkansas; a sister, Rebecca McLaughlin of San Diego, California; two granddaughters:  Maslow Sophia Bordelon of North Little Rock and Bailey Dean of Bryant; two step-granddaughters:  Scarlet Bordelon and Chloe Bordelon of Maumelle; three nephews:  Charles Williams (Trish), Chad Williams, and Glenn Edward Watkins (Samantha); brother-in-law, Thomas May (Kay) of North Little Rock and their children, Brad May (Susan) and Susanne Davidson of North Little Rock; and a sister-in-law, Lou Alice May of Little Rock.

Pete loved corvettes, sports (especially golf and football) and building.  He was an accomplished furniture builder having built many pieces for his family.

Pete served four years in the U.S. Navy at San Diego, California. He graduated from Pine Bluff High School and attended the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

He will be buried in a private service at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Our loving husband, daddy and poppy will be deeply missed.
