William J. ?Bill? Garrett, 82, of Mayflower passed away Monday, January 19, 2009. He was a retired supervisor for Stanark Plastic, a United States Army World War II veteran and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Garrett, of Mayflower; two sons, William ?Buddy? Garrett (Rachel), of Moulton, Alabama and David Garrett, of Vilonia; four daughters, Barbara Potter (Bobby), of Paragould, Betty Derrick, of North Little Rock, Shirley Reed (Glenn), of East End and Brenda Hernandez, of Sherwood; brother, Al Garrett, of Perryville; two sisters, Jeanette Ostrom , of Choctaw, Arkansas and Norma Jean Flynn, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Aubrey Garrett and sister, Cordelia ?Sister? Garrett.
A memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service at the funeral home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
