Listen to Obituary

William "Lonnie" Kimbrough, 83, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026. Born on January 25, 1943, in Alicia, Arkansas, Lonnie grew up with a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for simple joys. He spent his early years working on a rice farm before moving to Little Rock, where a chance encounter on a city bus led him to the love of his life, Becky. They shared 61 devoted years together.

Lonnie was a man who never met a stranger. His easy smile, warm heart, and quick humor made every person he met feel like an old friend. Even in his final days, he continued to brighten the room with a silly joke or a playful grin. He loved working in his yard and took great pride in his collection of John Deere tractors, always eager to show them off to anyone who stopped by.

Lonnie had a deep love for the Lord, and it is reflected in the kindness and love he shared with everyone.

He cherished his family fiercely. Lonnie is survived by his beloved wife Becky; his three sons, Tim (Tricia), Mark, and Danny, all of Little Rock; and his two grandsons, T.J. and Aaron, who were the joy of his life. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Cook and Mary Wallis, both of Little Rock.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th, at 2:30 PM at Smith Funeral Home in Little Rock. A visitation will follow at the home of his son Tim, 3000 Peach Tree Drive, Little Rock, AR.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
