William B. Lundy

William B. Lundy, age 76, of Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Linda; son Robert B. Lundy and his wife Debbie; grandson Andy, of North Little Rock; a sister Jean E. Bailey and her husband Rick of Carrollton, Texas; nephew Johnathan; niece Erica his sister-in-law Selina Ellis of Benton; nephew Drew Ellice; niece Beth Dickson (Eric) and many young friends from David O. Dodd Elementary School. Bill was a member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church and the Ben Miller Sunday School Class.

He retired as a Captain after 35 years with the Little Rock Fire Department. Bill was a past president of Little Rock Fire Fighters Local 34, I.A.F.F. and President Emeritus of the Arkansas Professional Fire Fighters. He served over 34 years on the Arkansas Fire and Police Pension Review Board being appointed or reappointed by five different Governors. He was an Accredited Fiduciary and a member of the Executive Board of the National Conference on Public Retirement Systems.

Bill was a Past Master of Albert Pike Lodge #714, and a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a Past Patron of the Order of Eastern Star, a senior DeMolay, Rainbow State Granddad, member of Bendemeer Grotto, and the Royal Order of Scotland.

Bill loved to hunt and fish with Robert and Andy. He and Linda enjoyed traveling. They visited most of our National Parks, all 50 states and 9 Canadian Provinces. After retirement they were able to make a driving trip to Alaska.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Highland Valley United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
