In Loving Memory of William "Scotty" Richardson

William "Scotty" Richardson, beloved husband, father, son, and pillar of the community, peacefully passed away on June 30th, 2024, at the age of 46. Born on August 25, 1977 in Whitley, KY to and survived by his father Frank Richardson, (Peggy) of Georgia, and mother Nancy Wirt, of Conway.

 Scotty Richardson is proceeded in death by his grandparents HB and Geneva Richardson, Norman and Ann Scott. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Brenda Parks Richardson; His children, Austin Richardson (Macia) of North Little Rock and Haden Richardson of Mayflower; His stepsister Jennifer Rother (Travis) and stepbrother Jonathan Morris (Beth) of Paragould. He is also survived by lots of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who will miss him.

Many years of his life were spent at Target, where he was a senior team lead. He enjoyed time spent with all his “Target family and friends”, whom remained in contact for many years to follow. 

Scotty worked at Best Builders where he had a passion and pride for his work. His crew was always inspired by his hard work and great attitude. Dee and Ryan were especially wonderful coworkers, who would always be there to lend a hand, even during his difficult times. Scotty would always sing praises about his job and his boss, Ryan, whom he quoted was, "The best". 

Scotty was also dedicated to helping members of the FFA organization, serving as a Mayflower FFA Foundation board member. Here, his passion for agriculture and mentorship positively impacted countless young lives. His commitment to fostering growth and inspiring others extended beyond his professional endeavors; he was a beacon of encouragement to his children and a source of strength to all who knew him.

A member of the 1st Baptist Church of Mayflower, Scotty found solace and community in his faith. His previous involvement with the Cancer Foundation board of Conway and founding of the “Charlie Stroud Golf Tournament” in 2005 showcased his compassionate spirit, always striving to make a difference in the lives of those affected by illness.

Scotty’s love for sports was evident in his volunteering and former coaching for the Mayflower T-ball, flag football, and basketball teams and active participation in golfing, duck hunting, and other activities that he enjoyed. A loyal supporter of the Razorbacks, he cheered passionately for his beloved teams. Scotty's life was a testament to dedication, kindness, and unwavering faith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brenda Richardson c/o Centennial Bank for the Scotty Richardson Memorial Fund.
