William Skarda

William "Bill" J. Skarda, 79, of Carlisle passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017. He was born February 1, 1937 in Hazen, Arkansas. He was a Business Manager for 37 years for Lone Pine Enterprises, Inc. and Carl Garrich, his uncle, father figure and mentor. Bill was a graduate of the College of the Ozarks in 1958 where he received the honors of Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference "outstanding scholar athlete award." He was an avid football fan and loved hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy Darlene Wheeler Skarda of Carlisle; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Darrell Dean of Little Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Britani Skarda of Malvern; granddaughter, Bailey Skarda of Little Rock; step-grandson, Ethan Golz, of Malvern; brother, Robert Skarda and his wife, Cissy of Little Rock; sister, Elizabeth Knopp of Vilonia; brother-in-law, Don Wheeler of Moro; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Skarda and Marie Skarda Hamel and his brother, Jim Skarda and step father, Joseph Arthur Hamel.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima Church 603 E. Park, Carlisle AR 72024.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima Church 603 E. Park, Carlisle AR 72024.

Rosary will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima Church 603 E. Park, Carlisle AR 72024.
