William Michael Zimmerebner

Benton

William Michael Zimmerebner, affectionately known as Bill, passed away on September 25, 2024 at the age of 75. Bill was born on March 29, 1949.  He was a gifted individual in his profession, specifically known for his exceptional skills in working with metal.

A dedicated member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton, Arkansas, Bill volunteered in the Prayer Chapel since 2012, where he committed himself to serving faithfully during the midnight hour prayer time slot. His deep faith and devotion to God were an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bill was also an avid outdoorsman who embraced life with zest. He derived immense joy from riding motorcycles, boating, camping, fishing, and spending time at the lake. His passion for the outdoors extended to riding four-wheelers as well. A man of many talents, he enjoyed playing the guitar and cherished the time spent with his family, particularly his son and grandchildren. Many fond memories were created with his son while they tinkered in the shop, performing various projects together. One of the highlights of Bill's week was attending weekly jam session every Monday night with his son, where he found much joy listening to music.

He leaves behind a loving wife of 57 years, Wanda Zimmerebner, of Benton, Arkansas; a son, Bobby Zimmerebner and wife Kelli, also of Benton; grandson Steven Zimmerebner; and great-grandchildren Abbie, Jude, and Prudence Zimmerebner; Joey Berg,whom he considered a second son, and resides in Benton, Arkansas, along with brother-in-law Glen Logan and wife Linda of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Bill is further mourned by his nieces and nephew: Tammy Lowe, Lisa Logan, and Ricky Logan, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Hilda (Beck) Zimmerebner; his brother, Ben Zimmerebner; brothers-in-law Bob Logan and Ed Logan; and a special neighbor and friend, Bob Garner.

Visitation services will take place on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Smith Family Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with Rosary held at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton at 10:00 AM.

The legacy left by William Michael Zimmerebner is one filled with love, faith, and cherished memories, and his presence will be felt deeply by all who knew him.
