William “Bill” Edgar King, 78 of Hickory Plains, Arkansas, passed away September 5, 2021. He was born July 12, 1943 to the late Barney and Eva Johnson King. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Grace King, and one daughter, Karen (Brian) Patterson of Hickory Plains; four grandchildren, Tyler (Meagan) Gore, Abby Patterson, Emma and Ethan Patterson; three great grandchildren, Allie, Gracelyn, and Samuel Gore.
Bill was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish; anything outdoors, and was an electrician for forty-five years, owning BK Electric. His golden years were spent working beside his grandson, Tyler, repairing wells and baling hay. Bill never met a stranger and was a friend to all. In the evenings you could find him sitting in the shade picking on his guitar and swapping stories with friends.
Visitation is Wednesday evening, September 8th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service is Thursday, September 9th, 10:00 a.m. at the Hickory Plains Baptist Church. Burial at Hickory Plains Cemetery.
