Willie A. Hopper, age 65, of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017. He was born on October 11, 1951, in Hot Springs, the son of Dale Hopper and Kathryn Inez Saling Hopper. On June 16, 1975, he was married to Peggy Sue Bell. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Willie Shane Hopper; his parents; and his brother, Jerry Hopper. He was Baptist in his faith and for many years Willie worked as a logger, a truck driver and was pretty much a jack-of-all trades. He enjoyed restoring old trucks and tractors for a hobby, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, whom he dearly loved and cherished. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Hopper of Glenwood; his son and daughter-in-law, Landon Dale and Christina Hopper of Bismarck; his daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and William Hannah of Pine Bluff; five grandchildren, Michael Brown, Dalana Hopper, Sherry Hopper, Landon Hopper and Iris Hopper; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Dale Hopper, Jr. of Amity and George and Virginia Hopper of Kirby; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lavola and Danny Whisenhunt of Caddo Gap and Faye Stewart of Glenwood; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 24, 2017, in the County Line Cemetery with Bro. Kevin Jewell officiating.
