Wilma Bissell

Wilma Bissell, age 94, of Newhope, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was born on December 8, 1918, the daughter of Fred Marshall and Pearl Fox Marshall. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Euil Lee; her second husband, V. C. "Red" Bissell; two children, Wallace Lee and Meredith Jester; her great-granddaughter, Bambi Jester; three brothers, Doyle Marshall, Charles Marshall and Floyd Marshall; and three sisters, Faye Reid, Lorene Woodall and Dennis Ruchalski. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eden Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by two grandchildren and their spouses, Dennis and Jean Jester of Hot Springs and Lea Anna and Tim Simmons of Daisy; seven great-grandchildren, Machelle Ellis, Christine Jester, Tommy Simmons, Jessica Jester, Adam Jester, Tara Simmons and Lucas Simmons; eight great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Ruth Buck of Delight; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 22, 2012 in the Eden Missionary Baptist Church near Newhope with Bro. Melvin Markham officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Mike Ruchalski, Greg Ruchalski, Zane Woodall, Grant Woodall, Randy Woodall and Terrell Shepherd. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Marshall.
