December 14, 1952 — April 14, 2022

Little Rock

Wylie Wayne Workman, Jr., 69, passed away on April 14, 2022. He was born on December 14, 1952, in Little Rock to Mary Walker Workman and Dr. W. Wayne Workman. Wylie graduated from North Little Rock High School, attended Hendrix College, and received IT training in Dallas. In 1981 he joined the IT staff at Dillard’s and worked there until 2005. At that time, he created his own computer software consulting business in addition to being a part-time professional photographer.  Many of his photographs were published.

Fondly referred to as “Bub”, he was preceded in death by his parents. Wylie will be deeply missed by his daughters, Mary Biton (Ithay) of Little Rock, Jolyn Workman, granddaughter Isabel McClure both of Alexander, AR.; sister, Sudie Henderson (Walt) of Fayetteville, brother, Brad Workman (Kathy) of Little Rock; Stepmom, Betty Workman of Fayetteville; Stepbrothers, David Workman of New Orleans, Dane Workman (Michelle) and Drew Workman (Paula) both of Fayetteville; ex-wife, Ivone (Richard) Cone; many nieces, nephews, cousins, an aunt and uncle, and many friends.

Wylie liked sitting back and taking it all in. He loved the calm of the lake while fishing and the joy of taking Mary, Jolyn, Isabel, and friends to the lake for water skiing. He focused on observing details, cooking, watching movies and sharing stories. Wylie made everyone at home and CARTI smile with his amazingly positive attitude and clever humor during his two-year illness.

A celebration of life service will be held at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., N. Little Rock, AR, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, officiated by Fr. Taryn Whittington. Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park, N. Little Rock.
