Yoneko Iwatsuru, age 98, of Pt. Cedar, fell asleep in death on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in Hot Springs. She was born December 7, 1912 in Yorba Linda, California the daughter of the late Joe and Taniya Kitada Dobashi. Yoneko was a retired kindergarten school teacher and a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Takahiro Iwatsuru.
Survivors are three sons, Gary Iwatsuru of Pt. Cedar, Arkansas, David Iwatsuru of Denver, Colorado, Wendell Iwatsuru of Alta Loma, California; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be held in at a later date in Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, California.
