Youlanda Darlene Hesslund

Youlanda Darlene Hesslund, age 50, of Nashville, passed away on Friday, April, 24, 2026.

She was born in Ashdown on October 20, 1975. Youlanda was the daughter of John Robert Burch and Hazel Laverne MacDaniel. She was preceded in death by her father; her two brothers, Wesley Harrington and Donald Woody; her aunt, Martha Nell Woody; and her grandson, Alex Shields.

Youlanda married the love of her life, Donald, on April 26, 2019. She loved watching her shows, hosting family events, sewing, and being a homemaker. Most of all Youlanda loved being a mother and grandma. She was the best wife, mother, grandma, sister, "Yo-Yo" and friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 7 years, Donald Hesslund of Nasvhille; her three children and son-in-law, Samantha Hobbs and Mikel Shields of Murfreesboro; Joseph Hobbs Jr. of Nashville; and Don Hobbs of Louisiana; her stepson, Chris Kerns; her six grandchildren, Katilyn, Emily, Ryder, Abigail, Braxton, and Lora; her mother, Hazel MacDaniel; her four brothers, Merritt Woody of Little Rock, Ralph "Abe" Woody of Nashville; Turner Woody of Oklahoma, and Frieddie Woody of Nashville; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.
