Yvonna Barentine Ray, age 77, of Kirby passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017. She was born on December 15, 1939, in Kirby, the daughter of Paul Steven Barentine and Ethel Mae Doss Barentine. On July 19, 1957, she was married to Lindle Andrew Ray. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katrina Ray Knisley; and her parents. She was a member of the Glenwood Church of Christ. She enjoyed drag racing, and had a deep passion for her pride and joy Mustang, and her dogs and horses. Anyone that knew Yvonna will always remember what a hard worker she was and how she dearly loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, and will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lindle Ray of Kirby; her twins, Todd Ray and his wife, Angie, and Angel Anderson, all of Kirby; four grandchildren, Andrea Anderson, Alex Vines and her husband, Ethan, Jacob Ray and Jenna Ray; two great-grandchildren, Alaina Smith and Cameron Vines; her siblings, Gwen Derrick of Paris, Texas, Linda Bean of Amity and Roger Barentine of Joplin, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 5, 2017, in the Glenwood Church of Christ with John Hall officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Clint Cook, Steve Risner, Craig Dwyer, Chuck Smith, Bruce McNully and Kevin Golden. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Golden, the nurses and staff of Dierks Nursing and Rehab, the nurses and staff of Ouachita Hospice and Phyllis Walker. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
