Zachary David Ramsey, 29, of Little Rock, Ark., died Oct. 14 in Houston after a seven year battle with cancer. Born April 8, 1982, Mr. Ramsey was raised in Miller County. He graduated from Veritas Academy in Texarkana in 2000 and Texas A&M Texarkana with a biology degree in 2007.
Mr. Ramsey is survived by his wife, Doreida, whom he married in 2008. He is also survived by his parents, Steve and Becky Ramsey, and siblings Caleb of Texarkana, Ark., Jessica of Tarrytown, N.Y., Asher Kidd of Texarkana, Texas, and Eli of Little Rock.
Visitation will be at Little Rock Funeral Home, Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 5-7 p.m. His funeral service will be Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1 Covenant Drive, Little Rock, AR 72211.
