Zadie Estelle "Goob" Waymack, 88, of Jacksonville passed away Friday, March 24, 2017. She was born November 25, 1928 in Vilonia, Arkansas to John B. and Mary Fortner Ramsey. Estelle was known as the caretaker of the family. She loved having the ability to take care of not only her husband, but her sister Monelle for many years, her mom Granny, and her father Papa Fortner. Everybody knew her passion for shopping, mostly so she could spoil her grandkids, and she never found a garage sale she could pass up. Not only was she a star in basketball in high school but she took great pride in being the song leader at Hilltop Baptist Church.
Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 67 years, Charles E. Waymack; and siblings, Mada Johnson, Monelle Fortner and J.D. Fortner; and granddaughter-in-law, Linsey Stager.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Dc. Ron) Stager; grandchildren, Melissa (Clay), Chuck, Anita, Peter (Nicole), Cece, William, Nicholas, Kenny, Cameron and Hayden; great-grandchildren, Sam, Ashley, Maddie, Devon, Logan, Adam, Seth; and nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Memorials may be made to Baptist Health Hospice of Little Rock, 11900 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210.
