Anita Martin

December 30, 1944 — March 11, 2020

Anita Martin

Joy Anita Martin was born in Camden, Arkansas on December 30th, 1944 and left this world too suddenly on March 11th, 2020 to be with our heavenly father. A selfless Mother and Nana, Anita, tirelessly and happily took care of everyone around her, even strangers and animals. She had a giving spirit and would do anything she could to always help other people, especially those in need. She was an avid cook and a very early adopter of encouraging everyone to focus on eating Non-GMO and Organic Food. She was the inspiration behind the local grocery store Nana's Organix. She was passionate about being proactive to save our planet and organized local Freecycle events to encourage less waste. She also loved to read books, go fishing and enjoyed puzzles and games to pass the time. Always greeting you with her kind smile, she was a very sweet and compassionate person. She will be extremely missed by so many, but we will carry on her memory and her giving spirit in our hearts and actions.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Fern Dickinson; her brothers & sisters, Charles Dickinson, Bobby Joe Dickinson, Billie Jean Dickinson, Rita Zajac; her grandson, Taylor Lee Wilson. She is survived by her two daughters, Amanda (Howard) Wilson and April Martin; her grand kids, Dietrich White II, Kyle White, Logan White, Gavin White and Arabelle Wilson; her great grandson, Aldo White; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members; as well as many terrific friends that were all family to her.
