Arnette Burris Howard, 73, born November 24, 1948 to Ralph and Jeanette Jump Burris, died on Monday, January 10, 2022. Arnette was proceeded in death by her grandparents, Homer & Willie Burris, Larry & Zada Neff, and Eugene Jump; her mother & father; her sister Lynn Burris Forbush, and two husbands Harold Dicus and Clarence Howard.

She is survived by two daughters, Kristy (Andy) Baumgardner, DJ Goolsby; a step-daughter, Jennifer Krisell; a daughter-in-love, Kimla (Ronnie) Carter; two step-sons, Hoser (Kristi) Howard and Stephen Howard; a brother, Ronnie (Janice) Burris, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Central High School and attended UALR. She retired from UAMS after 32 years. She was a past member of the Medical Group Management Association (both State and National), National Association of Family Practice Administrators, Secretary of the SEAM Foundation, Rainbow Girls, Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Little Rock Acapella Choir. She was a current member of East Union Baptist Church and had been the pianist/organist at numerous churches throughout the area for over 40 years.

Arnette enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, and loved to read. She was blessed to have been able to travel every state in the United States, all of the provinces of Canada, and 14 foreign countries.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Christina Light, RN, and Stacy Watson, LPN, with Saline County Hospice for their love and dedication to Arnette during the end of her life.

Visitation will be held at 10:00am Thursday, January 13th at East Union Baptist Church in East End with the funeral service to follow at 11:00am with Bro. Dennis Holmes and Bro. Doug Burris officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Arnette's name to Salem Cemetery, 20621 Arch St. Little Rock, AR 72206.
