Barbara JANE Rockwell
2/29/52-12/31/2019

Greetings,
I needed to let you all know that Jane passed away New Year’s Eve at the Hospice of Arkansas at the St. Vincent Infirmary of Little Rock, AR. Where she was comfortably and graciously cared for. She had been battling cancer since Steve so suddenly passed Sept 6, 2017.

Jane had spent her career as a Human Resource Director in Chicago, IL, Pasadena, CA and Little Rock, AR. She had found her artistic talents revive after her retirement in 2016. She is to receive an award at this year’s “Small Works on Paper” held by the Arkansas Arts Council. Her work will be on display and become part of the collection. She was very happy and proud of the honor as are we. The subject of the work, Johnathan Rodriguez, will be at the reception representing Jane. She was beyond thrilled about such a prospect.

Jane was a private person, preferring to live life on her own terms doing the things she loved: Art, Travel and Cooking. When asked what kind of remembrance she wanted, she requested that her ashes blend with Steve’s as family scattered them to the sea. Steve always said “the sea always feels to him like the earth breathing”. To follow her wishes there is no service or calling and she and Steve will be released to the breathing sea.

We wanted to remember Jane as the person who made our brother very happy and we’d like to believe they are dancing together today to Van Morrison singing “Have I told you lately that I love you.…”
