Beverly Ross

Beverly K. Venable Ross, of North Little Rock, passed away on October 14, 2020 at the age of 69. Born March 17, 1951 in Little Rock, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Venable and Juanita Ballard Venable. She was preceded in death by her husband James D. Ross, brother Tony Venable, sister-in-law Carol Venable, and niece Lesley Venable.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Kaye Lewis and husband Chris of North Little Rock, AR; son, Brian Cagle of Sherwood AR; stepson, Drew Ross and wife Sarah of Crossett, AR;  9 grandchildren, Brooke, Jordan, Brice, Brady, Saylor, Isabel, Samantha, Rowen and Skiler, and 1 great grandchild, Ryan. Sister, Janice Bezinque and husband John of Wichita, KS; brother, Brent Venable and wife Jeannine of Denton, TX; and stepmother, Ruthe Venable of Sheridan, AR. Nieces and nephews, Angela, Krystal, Mark, Joe, Holly, Deanna, and Gregory; great nieces and nephews, Cole, Rylee, Preston, McKenzie, and Daylan. Along with a host of other family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Beverly was a long-time resident of North Little Rock. She was a member of Central AR Women’s Bowling Association for more than 40 years. She served on the board of directors for 25 years while serving as President for 3 years. She was inducted into the CAWBA Hall of Fame in 2005 for her abilities in performance and service. Her lifetime high average was 205.

She so loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She lived for going to the lake and the 4th of July holiday with family, and any sport or activity her grandchildren participated in, such as baseball, softball, basketball, dance, and cheerleading.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Jordan Lewis, Brice and Brady Cagle, and nephews, Mark and Joe Venable and Cole Henry.

Honorary Pallbearers are Donna Beyers, Felicia Burlison, Patti Thornton, Laura Childress, Robyn Roberts, and Lavon Hatcher.

Special thank you to her hospice nurse Alicia with Baptist Hospice and her CNA, Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Baptist Hospice or the Food Bank.

The family will receive friends and family at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street in North Little Rock, AR, on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 6-8 pm. A service will be held on Saturday morning, October 17th at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at DeRoche Baptist Cemetery, 2199 Hwy 128, Bismarck, AR.
