Billy Barnard

Billy Joe Barnard, born December 17th, 1960, went to be with our Lord and Savior December 7th, 2020.

Billy was born in Lebanon Missouri.  He attended Jacksonville High School and was a great student.  He then went into the US Navy and served our country proudly.  He was a professional artist and an aspiring writer.

He loved to travel and one of his best memories was doing the Route 66 Journey.  He loved every minute he was on the road.  He took lots of pictures and enjoyed telling stories of his adventure.

He was preceded in death by his brother – Paul Anthony Smith, his niece Jamie Lynn Brown, his father Floyd Alford Smith and his mother Lois Ann Zaye.

Billy is survived by his siblings – Sharon Barnard, Linda Chapman, Sonnie Smith, Tomi and Robert Grubb.  He had a host of nieces and nephews that he loved very much.

Billy is also survived by his best friend – Bill Chase and his family.  Billy loved Bill and they were as close as brothers.  Our family wants to thank you for blessing our Billy with your friendship.

The service will be livestreamed via the Smith Sherwood Funeral Home Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in his name.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 8:45 AM, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with inurnment to follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
