Bobby Keaton

Bobby Wayne Keaton, 82, of Benton, Arkansas passed away January 1, 2021.  Know by most as Bodie or Bob, he was born June 25, 1938 in Wattensaw, Arkansas to the late Ben and Mabel (Hensley) Keaton.

Bob retired from Alcoa’s Bauxite Works after thirty years.  His retirement years were spent gardening, sharing the bounty with friends and neighbors, and fishing at every opportunity, rain or shine, with his long-time good friend, Harold Chronister.  Bob was a genuine family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He thoroughly enjoyed any gathering of family or friends.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Rowland and Pauline Rhea.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Moore Keaton; two sons:  Gary Keaton and Terry (Karen) Keaton; two brothers:  Stan (Evelyn) Keaton and Johnny (Nellie) Keaton; three sisters:  Faye Logan, Kay (Gary) Uselton, and Joyce (Neil) Shadrick; one grandson, Kevin (Amanda) Keaton; two granddaughters:  Rachel (Rob) Massingill and Kayla Keaton; eight great-grandchildren:  Emily, Isabella, Kyler, Kaida, Austin, Abigail, Tatum, and Luke; many nieces and nephews, and other extended family members, each on every one of whom he thought the world of.

In keeping with his wishes, no formal services will be held.  A casual graveside service will be held at Fowler Cemetery in Paron, Arkansas at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.  Online guestbook:  www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
