Calvin Haddon Squires, 66, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away July 19, 2021. He was born November 11, 1954, in Little Rock to the late Calvin and Vivian (Imus) Squires.
Calvin loved the Lord with all his heart. He was gifted and talented in wood working. His beautiful stairways, cabinets, and furniture are featured in many homes and businesses. He lived his life by the motto “A person’s livelihood is determined by what they get, but a person’s life is determined by what they give”. Calvin was a giver, not a taker. He was a very patient man, who never showed his family when he was upset. He spoke bluntly and did not mince his words. When Calvin was working on problems, he stayed focused and would not give up until the problem was solved. Spending time outdoors golfing, hunting, and fishing were favorite times he shared with his children. He was a hard worker, who provided well for his family. Calvin taught his children the importance of honesty and love. He may not have shown affection easily but proved his love for his family through his hard work and dedication.
Preceding Calvin in death are his parents, sister, Janice Parker, and brother, Joel Squires.
Calvin leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of forty-three years, Susan Squires; children: David Squires and wife Tedra and Meredith Marsh and husband Jason; grandchildren: Abbi, Gracie, Dawson, Skylar, Hayden, Emily, and Harley; and many relatives and friends who love Calvin and will miss him always.
