Carl "CD" Jones

Carl D. “CD” Jones passed away on September 11, 2021 at the age of 68, in his home surrounded by family.  His battle with cancer in recent years exemplified his courage and optimism in facing life’s challenges.

At a young age, CD worked on the farms in Arkansas.  He joined the Air Force in 1975 and traveled across the United States, Europe and the Pacific Rim.  During his military career, he was a member of an elite team, Giant Sword and played football for the Anderson Bombers.  It was while he was stationed in the Pacific that he met and married the love of his life, Pamela L. Jones, his wife of 40 years.

After 20 years of traveling the world with his family in the Air Force, CD retired in Hawaii in 1993, as a Chief Master Sergeant.  He joined Grace Pacific Corp. in Hawaii, created his own business from the ground up, NightHawk Security, and eventually settled in Arkansas, joining the MSHA (Mine Safety Health Administration) team.

He accomplished so much throughout his life, but his greatest accomplishment was his family.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  CD loved working on his farm and looked forward to spending time with his family on the weekends; CD never met a stranger and everyone that knew him respected and loved him.  He was a man of God who cherished his relationships.

CD is preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Kinau Lee Coppini, and siblings Eugene Jones, Mary Moore, Rochelle Barrs, JC Jones, along with his parents, William T. Jones and Onnie Bell Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Jones; his children Carl D Jones, Jr., April Chaudoin, Christopher Jones, Jennifer (Andre) Trujillo and their son Kekoa;  Jonathan Jones; his siblings Lisa Farris, Tommy Jones, Jesse Jones, Johnny Jones, CJ Jones, and Phillip Jones.
