Cheyenne Valentine

December 17, 2001 — October 19, 2020

Cheyenne Valentine

Cheyenne Aleigha Valentine, 18, was taken from this life on October 19, 2020. Cheyenne was born on December 17, 2001 in Searcy, AR to Amanda Murphy and Scott Valentine. She grew up in Floyd where she spent many summers playing ball with friends and family.

Cheyenne was an avid animal lover. She spent many hours with her father and stepmother participating in dog rescue. Cheyenne enjoyed reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends. When Cheyenne was home visiting family, she always wanted to go backroading and exploring with her sisters and brother. She enjoyed cooking family dinners with her stepfather and after long days, Cheyenne enjoyed nothing more than falling onto her mother’s bed and relaxing with her. Cheyenne attended school in Beebe until high school then transferred to Augusta. She was in the process of obtaining her GED. Cheyenne wanted to eventually attend college to become a neonatal nurse.

In recent months the happiness you could see in Cheyenne was undeniable. “I see myself as a young girl full of possibilities. I am very bubbly, loud, happy and sweet.  My greatest achievement is changing for the better.” - Cheyenne Valentine

Cheyenne was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ethel Ann Ruiz and her paternal grandparents, Vicky and Bill Valentine.

She is survived by her father and stepmother, Scott and Annette Valentine; mother and stepfather Amanda and John Scott Murphy; her older brother William Valentine, older sister, Victoria Valentine, and a twin sister, Cierra Valentine; her beloved dog, Trap; and numerous nieces and nephews, step-siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Cheyenne will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew her. She was a young, beautiful soul, full of possibilities lost too soon.
