Christopher Kensley

Christopher Keith Kensley, of Lonoke Arkansas, passed away on April 7th, 2021 from a three-year battle with cancer. He was born on March 28th, 1971 to Larry and Gayle Kensley in Long Beach California. He graduated from Hesperia High School in 1989. He was a man of many talents and worked many jobs throughout his life. He owned his own trucking business, worked many jobs involving construction and heavy equipment, and most recently worked for the drilling company Layne Granite. He thoroughly enjoyed mechanic work and made that a hobby most of his life. He dedicated himself to Layne Granite from 2004 in southern California to 2018 in Arkansas. Through this company he was able to transfer to Arkansas in 2018.

Chris enjoyed the outdoors and focused his hobbies in them. He loved gardening, camping, fishing, hunting, off roading and many other things. He loved to challenge himself and was always the go to person to solve any problem. He was the type of person to always lend a helping hand to anybody who was in need. He had a soft spot for animals and was always finding one to rescue.

Chris is preceded in death by his dad, Larry Kensley. He is survived by his wife Deon Kensley of 26 and a half years; his son Devin Kensley with his wife Katelyn Kensley and two grandchildren Hudson and Gracie Kensley; his daughter Kaitlynne Merrill and her husband Ryan Merrill with their daughter Freya Merrill, and his daughter Madisyn Kensley.
