Cleo Tucker

Cleo Carlton Tucker, 98, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away April 8, 2021. He was born in Rondo, Arkansas, a small town in Lee County. He was the son of John Alvin Tucker and Alda Lowery Tucker. He is survived by daughters Becky Hauck-Brents and Debbi Lee, sisters Maxine Price and Jonell Reese, brother Roy Tucker, four grandchildren (Cari Mote, Casey Mote, Jessica Rose Hauck, and Jake Lee), and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by Dorothy, his beloved wife, his brother Scott Tucker, and his daughter Maryjane Mote.

Cleo dearly loved his family and worked for what he felt was best for them. His wife, children, and extended family were always his priority. He could make a mean vegetable soup, and loved a good fish fry (especially if his sisters fried the fish, okra, and hushpuppies). He enjoyed old hymns, loved music, playing harmonica, and storytelling to his grandkids. His family defined his life.

He was a long time member of St Luke United Methodist, and loved serving his church and its people. He enjoyed T’ai Chi classes and delivered meals as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels until he finally had to quit driving in his early 90’s. His life-long interests were gardening, fishing, bible study, and family activities. His profession was in credit management as an accountant.

In his final days, Cleo was given loving attention and care at the Arkansas Hospice Inpatient Center in Hot Springs. Please make memorial gifts to Arkansas Hospice (designated for the inpatient center in Hot Springs), or to your favorite organization.

Private family services will be held at graveside.
