Courtney Nyx Adams, 42, of Benton, Arkansas passed away January 16, 2021. She was born October 2, 1978 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Jerry Edward Adams, Jr. and Janie Nanette (Wilson) Adams.
Courtney was preceded in death by her mother, Janie Nannette Wilson Goodman; and father, Jerry Edward Adams, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Jea Alec Purdom; sister, Kyndal Adams; brother, Tripp Adams; aunt Jo Ellen “DoeDoe” LaMaster; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly and will miss her always.
Courtney was a dental assistant, a very talented cosmetologist, and really just a jack of all trades. She had an intense love of animals and was always rescuing strays. She was very creative, and an extremely talented artist. She could turn a piece of junk into a treasure. Courtney was unbelievably handy, not afraid of hard work, and would bend over backwards to help others get things done. She was a nurturer and a caretaker. She was an amazing cook and would never tolerate Stove Top boxed dressing. Everything had to be from scratch. She definitely had a green thumb and could bring any plant back to life. Working in the garden was her zen time. Courtney loved music and concerts, but most importantly, she loved her family and friends fiercely. Her proudest moment was becoming a mom, and she lived for her son.
